The new Husqvarna Viking® 5D™Stitch Editor Plus.

November 5, 2012, Posted in Embroidery, Embroidery Software, Inspiration, SewFun! Blog by  Lena Kantis

I am and have always been a big fan of the Stitch Editor module. Why- because it allows to alter an embroidery design a lot very quickly.

The 5D™ STITCH EDITOR PLUS is the latest addition to the 5D™ Embroidery System, now allowing you to reshape and restyle your embroideries with object editing features! Emboss your own ideas with personal stamps.

Find all information at: http://www.hv.5dembroiderysystem.com/

Here are some pictures I took at the photographers studio. The two boys are Kasper and Hampus, and they are wearing the pyjamas with the fun robots , that were created in the new 5D™ Stitch Editor Plus.

One new top feature is the possibility to change object fill! That is what I did when I created this design by cutting away a few things, and then changing the ordinary fill of the petals into satin area. Quick and easy! All designs on our packages and material can be found in the Stitch Editor sample folder! You can stitch them out to see how wonderful they are!

Visit the website http://5dlearningcenter.com/ to see the videos with my colleagues Janie and Jamie, showing you the main new features!

Happy Sewing!

Sew in China!

September 28, 2012, Posted in Embroidery, Embroidery Software, Inspiration, SewFun! Blog by  Lena Kantis

I am about to move to China, new country, more people and an experience of living in another part of the world! I have always dreamed of living in a new part of the world to see how it is, but I never thought it would be China.  I look forward to it!

Next week I will be leaving, and I am trying to get all my sewing stuff packed and I am getting Kerstin started on using Skype. My husband has been working there since January this year. My youngest daughter is going to high school there.

I have found a lot of items in my office that I have not seen for some time. (I am cleaning up my office for the person that is going to replace me when I am away!)

Here is a pair of jeans that I did sew years ago, with an embroidery that I have digitized myself. Love the dragons. I will try to create some new dragons as I did buy a book in Japan once that has got lot of images of dragons.

Yesterday I was shopping some more fabrics, so I can start to sew directly when I get there!

I have saved a lot of pictures lately on projects we are working on and I will share as soon as I can, as we are always working on projects six month prior to the launch.

One new Husqvarna Viking® design collection!

# 250- Majestic Appliqué,  is a fantastic collection using less stitches and fun fabrics s appliqués. How fun to be able to create something of all small pieces that I have in my stash of quilt fabrics.

The designs are in various sizes so you can pick and choose which ever you like. If you like to make a fabric with an allover design, there are four embroideries that you can use for creating that with connection points.  Fun!

Happy Sewing!

Recycling is great!

Linnea 18, (Simon’s girlfriend) has been using a old denim jeans that has been worn out, to create a denim jacket and a denim vest. She mixed black and blue denim, and used the same denim jacket pattern for the two garments.

Another project that is made out of a pair of jeans; is a  trapunto tote bag and it is  created using the new Quilt Block Wizard in the  Husqvarna Viking® Quilt Design Creator™. Watch the video, with Sue Hausmann and Janie Lantz where they talk about this project.

More news the Husqvarna Viking® embroidery design center!

For the new Husqvarna Viking® Mega Endless Hoop- we have created a new design collection, #249 – “Mega Endless Floral” with stylish endless flowers and some are even made to match sideways so that you can create an allover fabric embroidery.

The designs can of course also be sewn out using the Husqvarna Viking® Designer Crown Hoop 260 x 200, or the Husqvarna Viking® Designer Royal Hoop: 360 x 200mm. You will need to work more with the Design Position feature if you want to create them as endless embroideries.

Back in Sweden

May 11, 2012, Posted in Embroidery, Embroidery Software, Home Dec, Inspiration, SewFun! Blog by  Lena Kantis

After being first in China then in the USA my normal time zone is way off. It will proabably take a week to get back to normal.

In the USA I have been teaching the new Husqvarna Viking® Quilt Design Creator software. I love it! Very fun, and easy to use, and if you have not tried to add embroidery into your quilts this is a great way of starting to do that.

In Sweden we do not have any quilting frame so most of the samples was created on Husqvarna Viking® DESIGNER DIAMOND deLuxe™.

Here you can see the package and some samples that I have sewn. Great to have the possibililty to use the new software for both the Quilting frame and the embroidery machines. As I was teaching the Husqvarna Viking Embroidery software, I did also finish my letter dress. This is how it does look!

I have recieved a lot of emails reagrding the instruction for the Husqvarna Viking Professional embroidery “Table cloth”. Here is the link with the instruction on hoiw to embroider it.

New office!

January 19, 2012, Posted in Embroidery Software, Inspiration by  Lena Kantis

We have been lucky to hire more staff! That is great, and very good. With adding more staff we do also need to organise our offices to fit all the groups. Therefor I have now got a new office. Very nice with a fantasic view, however it is smaller than before so  I need to consider what to save and what to get rid of. Not easy as I am like a squirell!

We are having lot of new products that we are working on, but as always you need to wait a bit for seeing them. Not fair I know.

My own sewing has only been testing new coming products and creating new samples that you will see in April, I think you will love them! I am very happy to let you know that we will make more videos in London in February, with Sue Hausmann and Janie Lantz and me. Very fun and exciting!.

Carina was in the sewing studio today, she had made a very fun t-shirt with a scull, created in the Husqvarna Viking 5D Design Creator. It does look very fun, I think you agree!’

Our colleague Karolina is working on giving me and Kerstin some input on a sewing project we are going to work on next week.

Happy Sewing dear friends!

Lena
