The one hour dress!
To have an overlock machine is the best thing in the world, that is because it is faboulous to create quick projects. I made a dress out of a knitted fabric (second fabric from Stockholm) within an hour. I used the Husqvarna Viking® Huskylock s15 for the construction. My daughter took the picture of me in the finished dress, and she told me to make a fun look, so I did!
A skirt is what I am sewing on today. It is a terracotta colored fabric, and I am lucky as I did also get to try out the new Husqvarna Viking® Embroidery design collection # 243, Handlook Needlework II.
I did work with several kinds of threads but if you want to have the “thicker” look of the stitches you should of course select to have the 30 weight cotton (or Rayon) thread. I will finish the skirt during the weekend.
I did also embroider one more 5D Card, using the Husqvarna Viking® 5D™ CARD SHOP to send to the United Kingdom. I used the monochrome linear, which is one of my favorit features. I think it does look astonishing!
Greetings to all, and have a Happy Sewing!

Good idea Maryann! I will do my best to add pictures of the steps, and suggest a pattern that is similar to the one I did use. As I did pick a pattern from a Swedish magazine. I will add it soon!
Love your dress, fabric and the way you styled it for wearing. Is there a pattern or directions available? A 1-hour dress is right up my alley.
In my opinion I feel after buying the professional software any new addons such as “the 5D Card shop” should be free. This just my opinion.
Where can I find the monochrome linear that you have on the card shop card?
